Grounds To Gardens - Promotion
Since April 2013, Cloverdale Mall and Eglinton Square have collected coffee grounds from our food service retailers. We partnered with Reground Organics, who, after several testing methods, have come up with a solution to mix our used coffee grounds with nutrients to create a sustainable and enriched potting soil.
Combined, we’ve collected 116,540 LBS of coffee grounds.
And erased our Coffee Footprint!

Sustainable Potting Soil Offer
Shoppers of Cloverdale Mall and Eglinton Square can receive an 18L bag of our sustainable potting soil at our shopping centres.
Coffee grounds, provided by our food service retailers, are rich in nitrogen, and when mixed with the right balance of nutrients, produce a richer soil for better growth in your garden.
To receive your bag of sustainable potting soil on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 11am 3pm:
• Donate $2 to Evergreen, a national-not-for-profit that makes Canadian cities more livable, today and for the future, at Cloverdale Mall's display area near Laura Secord.
OR
• Recycle your electronic waste at our community Drive-Up eWaste Collection Area located in our east parking lot, near Dollarama and the LCBO.
BONUS OFFER: The first 100 E-Waste Recyclers will receive a $5 Best Buy Mobile Gift Card, compliments of our friends at Best Buy Mobile in Cloverdale Mall. One per family. Valid while supplies last.
Planting Fun for Kids
Kids can join in on the fun by planting flowers in take-home pots* using our sustainable potting soil. Planting Activity will be located near A&W.
